Venture X, a Florida-based company, is bringing its coworking brand to Richmond with a new location in Scott's Addition. The company has leased 18,000 square feet in the former McKinnon and Harris building at 1806 Summit Ave.

Founded in 2012, Venture X has over a dozen shared office locations across the country, with 30 more in the works, including spots in Canada and Australia. They're known for offering common areas, private offices, a cafe, and event spaces.

The Richmond location will feature about 80 private offices and parking nearby, with memberships starting at $40 per month for a community membership and going up to $500 per month for a private office. Members will have access to all Venture X locations.

Harry Vinson, the local Venture X franchise owner, confirmed the lease and is finalizing the design for the Richmond location.
