News and Updates

NTT Docomo USA has launched an IoT-driven temperature- and humidity-monitoring service for industrial refrigerators and freezers in the United States.

This service allows customers to monitor temperature and humidity levels in real-time using their smartphones or PCs. They can also receive alerts in case of any abnormality and monthly reports on temperature and humidity trends.

The service is available for a subscription fee of $99 per month and uses LoRa technology for low-power, extra-long-range transmissions. This technology enables sensors to run for more than five years without replacement.

The service is part of Docomo's "Globiot" global IoT initiative, which provides global connectivity and operational support to Japanese enterprises with global IoT operations.
