Remove Alpha Features from UI

Removing alpha features from the user interface is a significant update that affects how you interact with the Data Modeling user interface. The features being removed are Population, Smart Suggestions, and Knowledge Graph.

These features were part of an experimental phase and are being deprecated due to careful consideration and testing over the past year. The feature flag for these alpha features will be removed with the Q2 2025 release.

For projects that currently have these features activated, the functionality will no longer be available, and the experimental feature button will be empty after that date. This means you'll need to find alternative solutions for tasks these features previously handled.

New projects or users who have never activated these features won't notice a difference, except that the experimental feature button will remain empty. However, you can still achieve similar experiences to the Population and Smart Suggestions features by utilizing the Transformation UI.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround available for the Knowledge Graph feature at this time, so you'll need to explore alternative methods for achieving the same results.

Improving Function Stability with Rate Limits

Credit: youtube.com, Monitoring and Logging Rate Limit Breaches #ai #artificialintelligence #machinelearning #aiagent

We're introducing new rate limits for Cognite Function Calls to ensure more equitable resource distribution and maintain reliable service quality across all CDF projects.

Less than 5% of CDF projects will be affected by these new rate limits, based on current usage patterns.

The new limits will apply to concurrent function calls, with a maximum of 250 running calls per CDF project.

New projects will be subject to these limits immediately, while existing projects will be affected on November 1, 2025.

The HTTP response status code for exceeding the limit of 100 concurrent running function calls per function will change from 400 to 429, aligning with HTTP standards.

Most CDF projects won't notice any difference, as the 250 concurrent running call limit supports typical usage patterns across most workloads.

CDF projects currently exceeding this limit will receive direct outreach from our team with optimization guidance and transition support.

Reviewing function concurrency patterns and considering optimizations like batching or queue management is recommended for high-volume scenarios.

New function call requests will return HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) upon reaching the limit, signaling clients to back off and retry later.
