I don't know if I would be a good engineer. Other people seem to think so, and I have the capacity to do the work, but I lack the confidence.I have always been interested in figuring out how things work, and I was good at math and science in school. My junior and senior years, I took as many physics and calculus courses as I could. I also did well in my college-level engineering classes. But I never felt like I completely understood the material, and I was never the top student in the class. I was always afraid that I would be found out as a fraud.

I interned at a few engineering firms during college, and I liked the work. I liked the feeling of designing something and then seeing it built. But I was always nervous that I would make a mistake that would cause a catastrophe.

After I graduated, I got a job as an engineer at a small firm. I worked there for a few years, and I was happy. But I always had the feeling that I was one step away from disaster.

I eventually left engineering to do something else. I don't think I was cut out for a career in engineering. I was always worried that I would make a mistake that would have dire consequences. I didn't have the confidence to be a good engineer.

What led you to believe that you would be a good engineer?

Engineering is a difficult field to break into without the proper schooling and experience. When researching engineering programs, I came across many different specialties within the field. I found that I was particularly interested in the area of mechanical engineering.
