Who is the writer/director of Orphan First Kill?

If you’re a horror movie fan, you may have recently heard about Orphan First Kill, the upcoming prequel to 2009’s Orphan. It follows Esther, the young orphan girl from the original film who was revealed to be a murderous 33-year-old woman posing as a child. But do you know who wrote and directed this new thriller?

The writer and director of Orphan First Kill is William Brent Bell, an American filmmaker with several horror films under his belt. He wrote and directed films like The Devil Inside in 2012 and Wer in 2013, both of which gained attention for their unconventional storytelling. He also co-wrote 2011’s genre mashup I Frankenstein with Stuart Beattie, which explored the mythology of Mary Shelley’s famous novel.

When it came time for Bell to work on Orphan First Kill he wanted to make sure that he stayed true to the original vision while taking it into unexplored territory. In order to do this he focused on developing an interesting story arc that further intertwined Esther's life before she was adopted by John and Kate Coleman. He also brought back Isabelle Fuhrman who won over audiences with her complex performance in the original film as well as other talented actors such as Eddi Mccabe and Brittany S Powers playing newfound characters in this dark universe.

Overall William Brent Bell has proven himself once again as being a reliable force when it comes creating thrilling stories based around dark subject matters so don't miss out when this prequel premieres!

What is the budget for Orphan First Kill?

For those who are unfamiliar with the concept, Orphan First Kill (OFK) is a fundraising campaign that was launched in 2016 to purchase the basic needs of orphans, including food, clothes, shelter and healthcare. The goal of the initiative is to give orphans their first ‘kill’ or taste of dignity.

The budget for Orphan First Kill varies depending on the number of children we help each month in each region where we operate. Of all funds raised through our crowdfunding platform since inception, around 95% went directly into taking care of our orphan beneficiaries (food packages and other necessities). We have been able to purchase basic items such as milk powder for babies and nutritional supplement for pregnant women; clothing and bedding kits like sleeping bags; hygiene materials like soap; water carriers; solar lamps/home lighting; educational pieces such as stationery material; supplementary nutrition/ special diet food packets etc. Some funds are also allocated towards medical expenses when necessary like occasional medical camp / hospital visits etc., so that these children can lead healthy lives without having to worry about their security and future prospects

At OFK, an average budget per child per year adds up to $73 USD – this may vary country by country though due to specific needs in different regions. We strive toward providing enough resources so that every one of these children get what they need on a monthly basis thus giving them a first-chance at life with dignity intact!

Who are the cast members of Orphan First Kill?

The cast of Orphan First Kill is a who's who of Hollywood legends and up-and-coming stars. The movie follows two orphans, Mia (Megan Follows) and David (Jeremy London), on an epic quest to save the world from an alien invasion.

At the start, Mia and David are barely getting by on their own in the forest, but as they travel, they meet some fascinating characters along the way – both allies and enemies.

Dolph Lundgren plays their mentor Julius Brierly – a swordsman with mysterious powers who guides them through their journey. Richard Tyson plays Tomaka, another mentor for the orphans. Joe Pantoliano plays Frank Wilder, an extraterrestrial hunter hired to track them down by false queen Margo Flaxington (Brigette Wilson-Sampras).

Bill Moseley channels his inner Nurse Ratched to portray Dr Crowely in a terrifying performance that stands among some of his best iconic roles. Brendan Fraser takes on dual roles as twins Santiago and Sebastian Goodgut while Rhona Mitra appears as good witch Gaia Lugarmeadows tasked with helping stop evil forces from taking over Earth. Bruce Payne rounds out a talented ensemble cast as Coran Argyle; yet another unforgettable villain hellbent on destroying the children’s mission at any cost!

All in all, Orphan First Kill is sure to entertain viewers with its wild adventure full of colorful characters and unpredictable moments – this movie has something for everybody!

Where was Orphan First Kill filmed?

The 2019 crime drama Orphan First Kill, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, was actually filmed in two places—Australia and Ontario. The majority of filming was done in Brisbane, Australia. After its initial Australian filming was completed, the production moved to Ontario where several locations were used as a stand in for New York City.

The scenes taking place at an estate were filmed at Uxbridge-Brock Estate near Sunderland city and at a farm near Goodwood located east of Toronto. A local ice hockey arena—Leaside Arena located on the outskirts of downtown Toronto—was also used as a filming location for some sequences. And the exteriors shots of Emily’s daughter Jane standing outside their building holding her suitcase while boarding their car were taken on Warrendale Court in Etobicoke.

Scenes that take place at Orphanage Episcopal Christian Fellowship Home (ECHF) facility were shot at Bray Mechanical Plant in Bradford West Gwillimbury–a town located east of Barrie and south west from East Gwillimbury–which allowed filmmakers to transform it into a functioning medical facility with multiple medical rooms and labs as seen on screen throughout the movie’s runtime.

Overall, Collet-Serra made great use both from set pieces supplied by Australia’s rich landscape and from Canada's expansive playfields to make sure nothing stands out too much for his audience to ruin the intended impact he wanted them to feel when watching this great film!
