Production and Launch

The dairy's first product line, MilkMan Yoghurt, is now available in various flavors in supermarkets around Kampala.
A total of US $13 million has been invested in state-of-the-art machinery and production equipment to ensure high-quality products.
The dairy has the capacity to process up to 50,000 liters of milk per day, thanks to its advanced laboratories and high-tech machinery.
President Yoweri Museveni has launched another milk processing factory in Kiruhura district, with a capacity of processing 100,000 litres of milk daily.
The Kiruhura dairy plant is a joint venture between Vital Capital Fund and Tomosi's Farm, which established its first plant in 2015 with a capacity of 50,000 litres daily.
The dairy's products are made with natural ingredients and are tested to ensure they are of excellent quality and nutritional benefit.
The official commissioning of the Kiruhura dairy plant was performed by President Museveni together with Eytan Stibbe, Odrek, and wife Patience, who is also the President's daughter.

Vital Tomosi's Dairy (VTD) has transformed lives in Rushere, employing hundreds of residents in various roles, including packaging, tractor driving, cleaning, and security.
The factory has created a ready market for local farmers, who can now sell their milk at good prices, ending the need to walk long distances to sell to middlemen.
VTD's Long Life Milk is the newest addition to their product line, joining existing brands in the market.
The company's goal is to enrich lives while providing good quality dairy products, and they aim to improve the income of small-hold farmers and reduce costs for consumers.
The dairy industry in Uganda is largely unorganized, with 80% of milk production coming from small-scale farmers, but VTD is working to change this with their large-scale production systems.
Around 20% of raw milk gets wasted due to lack of proper storage facilities, but VTD's advanced processes aim to reduce this wastage.
The factory has also created jobs for veterinary doctors, who are now working in the nearby community.
