Uinta Brewing Company has a rich history that dates back to 1990. It was founded by Will Hamill and Kevin Crompton.

The company started with a small batch system and a passion for brewing unique and high-quality beers. They focused on using only the finest ingredients and traditional brewing methods.

Uinta Brewing Company is known for its commitment to sustainability, which is evident in its use of solar power and a state-of-the-art water treatment system. This dedication to the environment has earned the company numerous awards and recognition.

About Us

Uinta Brewing Company was founded in a small renovated mechanic's garage in Salt Lake City, Utah in the winter of 1993.

The company started distributing locally, with keg-only sales of several flagship beers that they still make today, including Cutthroat Pale Ale.

Increased demand led to the installation of a bottling line in 1996, allowing Uinta to expand its reach beyond local keg sales.

The brewery relocated to a 26,000-square-foot facility specifically designed for brewing beer in 2001, and added a South Building of comparable size in 2013.

Uinta Brewing Company is named after an east-west mountain range located in Northeastern Utah.

Many of Uinta's beer names are inspired by Utah's diverse landscapes or have historical significance, such as Cutthroat Pale Ale, named after Utah's state fish.
