Tyson chicken recall 2024 is a serious concern that affects millions of people. Tyson Foods is recalling about 9 million pounds of frozen chicken due to listeria contamination concerns.

The recall was expanded to include an additional 500,000 pounds of chicken, bringing the total to about 9 million pounds. This is a massive recall that affects a wide range of chicken products.

Tyson chicken products that are under recall include Pulled Chicken Breast, Fajita Chicken Breast Strips, Pulled Chicken Breast and Chicken Wing Sections, and Oven Roasted Diced Chicken Breast. These products were sold at big-box retailers like Walmart, Kroger, Publix, H-E-B, and Target.

The recalled chicken products were shipped to schools, hospitals, restaurants, nursing homes, retailers, and Department of Defense locations. The FSIS said the chicken products were sold to schools commercially and did not fall under the USDA’s school lunch program.

Tyson Foods has also recalled nearly 30,000 pounds of frozen nuggets due to possible metal contamination. The recall applies to chicken patties that were produced on September 5, 2023, and packaged in 29-ounce plastic bags.

Customers who purchased the chicken patties reported finding small metal fragments in the product. There has been one reported minor oral injury associated with consumption of this product.

The recalled chicken patties were created at one location and were shipped to stores in several states, including Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
