The Sydney Region 9 bus contract has been awarded to Transdev John Holland, a joint venture between Transdev Australasia and John Holland.

Transdev John Holland will operate the contract from April 2022 to 2030, covering the eastern and south-eastern suburbs of Sydney and the Central Business District.

The contract represents a significant extension of Transdev's existing public transportation footprint in Sydney, with the company operating buses in the city since 1998.

Transdev John Holland will be responsible for delivering over 33,000 weekly services, including 11 All Day Frequent Network bus routes operating every 10 minutes or better during the day, seven days a week.
