Initiatives and Programs
Schlumberger SEED has been supporting local communities through various initiatives and programs. They have partnered with the Tulsa Public Schools and the Tulsa Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Alliance to provide educational programming on the local public access TV station.
Approximately 19% of Tulsa County does not have Internet access, making it difficult for students to access educational material. To address this issue, Schlumberger learning center instructors are broadcasting educational sessions live on the local TV channel.
Schlumberger SEED has also organized a workshop on renewable energies in Ecuador, in partnership with the American Geosciences Institute. The workshop aimed to train 100 teachers in Ecuador to improve the literacy on energy in schools.
