Rob took his father's place as chairman just two days after his father's death in 1992. He held this position until 2015.

Biography

S. Robson Walton was born on 27 October 1944, in Tulsa Oklahoma, to Sam and Helen Walton.

He is the eldest amongst four children and has a sister Alice and two brothers named Jim and John.

His brother passed away in an airplane crash on 27 June 2005.

Rob was married to Patricia Rawlings Walton until the late 1970s when the couple got divorced.

He then married his second wife Carolyn Funk, with whom he was married for more than 25 years, until they got divorced in 2000.

In 2005, Rob married his third wife Melani Lowman-Walton.
