Puma Appoints New CEO
Puma has tapped Arthur Hoeld, a former Adidas executive, as its new CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Puma SE, effective July 1, 2025.
Hoeld held a range of leadership positions at Adidas for over 25 years, including roles in marketing, brand strategy, and management leadership of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.
He successfully transformed Adidas's "Originals" division to generate over €7 billion ($7.63 billion).
Puma's current CEO, Arne Freundt, will step down on April 11 after 14 years with the company due to differing views on strategy execution.
The new CEO, Hoeld, expressed his excitement about joining Puma, stating that it's one of the most authentic brands in the industry with a strong legacy.
