The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) is a major player in the country's oil and gas industry. NISOC is responsible for the development and production of oil and gas resources in southern Iran.

NISOC's operations are focused on the development of oil and gas fields in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. The company has a significant presence in the region, with a number of major projects underway.

One of NISOC's key projects is the development of the Yadavaran oil field, which is expected to produce 140,000 barrels of oil per day. This project is a major undertaking for the company, with a significant investment in infrastructure and personnel.

Nisoc Wells

Nisoc Wells are a significant part of the National Iranian South Oil Company's operations, located in the oil-rich region of Khuzestan Province.

Nisoc Wells have been producing oil since the 1960s, with the first well drilled in 1963.

The Nisoc Wells are situated in the Dezful area, which is known for its high-quality oil reserves.

These wells have consistently delivered high-quality oil, meeting the company's production targets.

The Nisoc Wells are also notable for their unique geological features, with the oil reservoirs found in the Asmari and Bangestan formations.

The company's expertise in drilling and extracting oil from these formations has been key to the success of the Nisoc Wells.

Gas Injection Project

The Aghajari Gas Injection Project is the world's biggest enhanced oil recovery project, inaugurated in Iran in late 2008. It aims to boost production from the aging Aghajari oil field.

The project involves injecting 3.6 billion cubic feet of gas per day from the south pars field, which is a significant amount of gas. This gas injection will help build up pressure in the field.

The Aghajari oil field has a reservoir dimension of 56×6 km and an original oil-in-place of 28 billion barrels. However, production has been on the decline due to loss of pressure and oil extraction.

With the gas injection project, an additional 1.2 billion barrels of oil will be produced. This is a substantial increase in oil production.

The project also includes the installation of a gas-compression station and the drilling of 19 new wells. Additionally, 3 existing wells will be worked over for gas injection.

The daily crude oil output of the field is expected to increase to 300,000 barrels per day after the project is completed. This is a significant increase from the current output of 180,000 barrels per day.
