The Nash Engineering Company facility is comprised of 14 primary buildings located on the east side of Wilson Avenue, just south of its intersection with Grey Rock Road.
The oldest buildings date back to 1930, and they're a cluster of three red brick buildings that stand one story in height, measuring 62' x 132' each.
These historic buildings have brick pier construction, concrete foundations, and large rectangular window openings with concrete sills and lintels. They also feature multipane metal sash, concrete pier caps, and coping, and front-facing gable roofs.
The central and southern blocks of the 1930 buildings each have two gabled skylights running along their ridgelines, providing natural light to the interior spaces.
Numerous one-story metal-frame and concrete block additions were erected adjoining the 1930 blocks during the 1950s and 1960s, expanding the facility's footprint.
Two adjoining one-story blocks were erected south of the 1930 buildings in 1956, measuring 106' x 50' and 200' x 80'. They're made of reinforced concrete and steel-frame construction, with exterior walls dominated by large multipane metal windows.
A one-story port-cochere is located adjoining the west elevation of the southern block, featuring a large steel hoist beam running its full length.
The facility also includes two large, two-story steel-frame blocks that replaced preexisting manufacturing blocks in 1980. These blocks measure 370' x 160' and 208' x 98', with concrete foundations, corrugated metal sheathing, and low-pitch side-gabled roofs.
