Mohit Mittal has been named Chief Investment Officer for Core Strategies at Pimco. He will be responsible for leading the firm's core strategies business.

Mohit Mittal brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has spent over 20 years in the investment industry, including stints at Goldman Sachs and UBS.

Mohit Mittal, the newly appointed Chief Investment Officer – Core Strategies at PIMCO, brings a strong track record of leadership and investment expertise.

He has been a member of PIMCO's Investment Committee and has contributed to various portfolios, including Total Return, Long Duration, Dynamic Bond, Stable Value, and Investment Grade Credit.

As a seasoned leader, Mohit Mittal has been an integral part of the Total Return portfolio management team for the past five years.

He holds the position of Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer – Core Strategies, based in the Newport Beach office.

Mohit Mittal is a member of the board of Orangewood Foundation and was honored with the 2020 U.S. Morningstar Award for Investing Excellence in the Rising Talent category.

He joined PIMCO in 2007 and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, along with an undergraduate degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi, India.

The pension plan has allocated up to $340m, as disclosed at its recent meeting.
