In 1731, Christopher Roed was appointed as the first Bogholder of Kjøbenhavns Brandforsikring, receiving 500 Rdl. annually for himself and his family.
He was chosen for this position due to his good performance in other public matters, showcasing his capabilities.
Roed was born in Køge in 1684 and was the son of Peder Christensen Roed, a By- og Raadstueskriver, and Helle Christophersdatter Bagger, a Raadmandsdatter from Holbæk.
His family background likely played a role in his appointment to this prestigious position.
Roed's appointment was formalized through a Magistratens Resolution on September 19, 1731.
By 1895, the company had undergone significant changes, with Harald Ludvig Westergaard serving as Direktør from 1885 to 1885.
Wester gaard was a highly skilled and respected individual, known for his exceptional work ethic and unique personal qualities.
He was also a member of numerous private companies' boards and was appointed as Kommandør of the 1st Grade in 1892.
Sadly, Westergaard passed away on October 10, 1895, in Kjøbenhavn.
In the same year, Hans Nielsen Fussing was elected as the new Direktør of Kjøbenhavns Brandforsikring after Tømmermester Kayser's death.
Fussing was a skilled murmester and had a strong background in the industry.
Charles Alfred Iversen, a cand. jur., was appointed as the administrerende Direktør of the company in 1894, following Højesteretsassessor Rimestad's death.
