The IRS is set to send out $300 stimulus check payments to eligible individuals this month, providing much-needed relief to those affected by the pandemic.
These payments are part of the American Rescue Plan, a federal stimulus package aimed at helping Americans recover from the economic impact of COVID-19.
Eligible individuals who have not already received their stimulus check should expect to see the payment in their bank account or mailbox soon.
The IRS will be sending these payments automatically to those who qualify, so no action is required from recipients.
Stimulus Check Payments
The IRS $300 stimulus check payment schedule has been a topic of interest for many. The stimulus check payments are part of the American Rescue Plan Act.
Eligible recipients can expect to receive their payments in the form of a direct deposit or a paper check. The payments will be made through the IRS's Electronic Federal Tax Payment System.
The IRS will use the 2020 tax return to determine eligibility for the stimulus check. Recipients who have not filed a 2020 tax return will be able to register for the payment through the IRS website.
The stimulus check payments are expected to be made in batches, with the first batch going out in mid-December. The payments will continue to be made throughout the month.
The IRS will send out notices to recipients with their payment information. The notices will include the payment amount and the date the payment was made.
Important Reminders
The IRS $300 stimulus check payment schedule is just around the corner, and there are a few important reminders to keep in mind.
If you're eligible for the payment, be sure to file your 2020 tax return by April 18, 2022, as this is the deadline for the IRS to process your return and issue the stimulus payment.
Don't forget to update your address with the IRS if you've moved recently, as this could delay your payment.
Unclaimed Payments
If you haven't claimed your 2021 Recovery Rebate Credit, you're not alone - the IRS is sending special payments to 1 million taxpayers who didn't claim it.
The IRS has issued all three Economic Impact Payments, so you can no longer use the Get My Payment application to check your payment status.
If you're a non-filer, don't wait until the deadline to claim your credits - the IRS is encouraging you to take action now.
You can expect an IRS EIP notice in the mail, which will be sent to the address the IRS has on file.
Don't Miss Monthly Federal Payments
You might be eligible for monthly federal payments of up to $300 per child through the Child Tax Credit.
The payments are part of the American Rescue Plan, which increased the Child Tax Credit to $3,600 per child for children under 6 years old and $3,000 per child for children ages 6-17.

If you've filed tax returns for 2019 or 2020, or if you signed up to receive a stimulus check from the Internal Revenue Service, you will get this tax relief automatically.
You don't need to sign up or take any action if you're eligible automatically.
Visit The Child Tax Credit web page to see how much relief you're eligible to receive.
If you didn't have to file taxes in 2019 or 2020, and you didn't register for Economic Impact Payments, you can register on the Child Tax Credit for Non-Filers page.
