Despite two separate productions of “The Music Man” being produced from August 2019 to December 2020, it has yet to be confirmed when and where Sutton Foster will take on the iconic role at this time. With the ongoing pandemic and swirling rumors surrounding potential touring dates, there is not a solid answer as of now regarding how long Sutton might be in the show.

That said, if she does join for a production down the line, her fans can hope for something special! Her leading role or perhaps even a cameo would no doubt bring an extra level of sizzle to any production. After watching Sutherland’s Tony award-winning performance as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes on Broadway back in 2011, we can only imagine what magical moments she might create while onstage during The Music Man.

The upcoming “Hollywood Bowl” production offers fans some information regarding performances – a six-night run with showings starting June 9th – but none of those nights include Foster’s name amongst their star-studded casts (so far!). If you are one of those eagerly awaiting her rendition as Marian Paroo - hang tight! More casting decisions should hopefully be announced soon!

Has Sutton Foster ever won any awards as a result of her Music Man performance?

That is a great question! The answer is a resounding yes, but also no.

Sutton Foster has never won an award for her performance as Marian Paroo in NBC's live adaptation of the classic musical "The Music Man". Though she certainly showed off her skills as an actress and singer, it seems that awards are often given to the more grandiose productions than those mounted on television.

However, Foster has won many awards before and after this production. She won two Tony Awards during her time in Broadway shows (Thoroughly Modern Millie and Anything Goes) and then received further recognition from other organizations such as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (for TV show Younger). Her Television credits have earned her five Primetime Emmy celebrations over all.

In conclusion, Sutton Foster's stunning rendition of Marian Paroo may not have scored any major accolades on its own, but it does represent just one shining moment in a long history of award-winning performances for this talented performer.
