Hans Van Bylen is the first Belgian to lead a large listed German company, Henkel, which employs 53,000 people worldwide and operates in over 120 countries.

He took over as CEO in 2016, succeeding Kasper Rorsted, who held the role for 11 years. Van Bylen has been with Henkel since 1984, initially as a Product Manager and later as Marketing Director of Cosmetics.

Van Bylen has spent over 30 years at Henkel, holding various management positions with a broad geographical scope in two of the company's divisions: Laundry & Home Care and Beauty Care. He has worked in Belgium, the Benelux region, France, West Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, Asia/Pacific, and Latin America.

He is a graduate of the University of Antwerp, with a degree in Business Management and an MBA. Van Bylen's experience and skills make him a strong fit for the CEO position, according to Dr. Simone Bagel-Trah, Chairwoman of Henkel's Supervisory Board.
