KrAZ and Bankruptcy

The Commercial Court of Dnipropetrovsk region has opened bankruptcy proceedings against Bogdan Motors Automobile Company, a part of the Bogdan Corporation.
This is the second lawsuit related to the bankruptcy of companies from the Bogdan Corporation.
The initiator of the bankruptcy procedure is the financial company Finwork.
The full list of creditors’ debt claims will be submitted within 30 days after the bankruptcy case is opened.
Bogdan Corporation took a loan from the State Bank in 2009 for the construction of automobile plants in Cherkasy and Lutsk.
The loan was for UAH 1.3 billion, and the corporation undertook to repay it by December 25, 2031.
Megaterm, another company from the Bogdan Corporation, was declared bankrupt in early November by the Commercial Court of Dnipropetrovsk region.
The initiator of the bankruptcy procedure for Megaterm was Hyundai Motor Ukraine.
Bohdan Corporation has stated that the conditions in the automotive industry in Ukraine are the least favorable in two decades.
The corporation noted that no program to support the industry has been adopted, and automakers have not gained access to cheap loans.
Government orders are declining, and as a result, Bogdan Motors’ revenues fell several times: in 2019, the amount of taxes paid by the company amounted to UAH 384 million, for 11 months of 2020 – UAH 120 million.
Production and Output
Bogdan Corporation plans to boost its passenger car output in 2013, aiming to produce up to 15,000 cars, a 25 percent increase from the previous year.
