The BG3 bank vault is a treasure trove of loot and riches, but it's not going to give up its secrets easily. To access the vault, you'll need to find the correct combination on a series of pressure plates.

You can find the combination by examining the murals on the walls of the vault, which are actually puzzles in disguise. Each mural depicts a scene from a different era of the world's history.

The murals are cryptic, but they contain subtle clues that can help you figure out the combination. Look for repeating patterns, symbols, and other visual cues that might give you a hint.

Here are some general tips to keep in mind as you navigate the vault: be careful not to trigger any traps, and make sure to examine every nook and cranny for hidden compartments or secret doors.

You can find it along the southern portion of the Lower City, and the specific coordinates are -98; -148.

To access the vault, you'll need to recruit Jaheira and keep her alive during Act 2.

If you don't have Jaheira with you, you may miss out on some notable interactions.

Getting the Code

Getting the Code is a crucial step in accessing the bank vault in Baldur's Gate 3. You'll need to obtain the vault code to unlock the vault and progress through the game.

The code can be found in the Head Banker's Office on the second floor of the building. Unfortunately, two sentries are guarding it, so you'll need to be careful to avoid detection.

To get past the sentries, you can use a character with high Stealth and Sleight of Hand skills, such as Astarion. You can also use the Greater Invisibility spell to sneak past them undetected.

Here are the steps to obtain the code:

  • Make sure the party is ungrouped, then cast the Greater Invisibility spell on Astarion so he can cross the hallway undetected.
  • Lockpick the door and enter the Head Banker's Office. Read a book that tells you of an event that happened in the year 1356. That means the code is 1-3-5-6.
  • If your Greater Invisibility spell has run its course, select Astarion and fast travel to another location in the Lower City. Have the rest of your squad reunite with him, and go back inside the bank.

Accessing the Banker's Office

To access the Banker's Office, you'll need to navigate the second floor of the building. The office is guarded by two sentries, so you'll need to be stealthy to avoid getting caught.

If you get spotted, you'll have to make a DC25 skill check to avoid getting kicked out. Otherwise, you'll need to prepare for a fight.

To avoid this, use a character with high Stealth and Sleight of Hand skills, like Astarion, who has the highest in your team. You'll need to cast the Greater Invisibility spell on Astarion to cross the hallway undetected.

Once you've lockedpick the door and entered the office, you can find the vault code by reading a book that tells you of an event that happened in the year 1356. This will give you the code 1-3-5-6.

If your Greater Invisibility spell has run its course, don't worry – you can simply fast travel to another location in the Lower City, reunite with your squad, and go back inside the bank.

Reaching the Code

You'll notice a plaque in front of the locked vault asking you to head to the Head Banker's Office to obtain the passcode. The Head Banker's Office is located on the second floor, but be warned, it's one of the most well-guarded areas in the Counting House.

To get the code, you can either fight your way through the guards or use a rogue like Astarion to sneak past them. I've found that sneaking past is usually the safer option.

Regardless of how you obtain the code, make sure to put it in the locked vault once you have it. This will automatically trigger an encounter with a lot of enemies, some of which can turn invisible.

You can get the code from the safe in the Head Banker's Office, but be prepared for a fight.
