The merger process involved transferring the aircraft of AIX Connect to Air India Express Air Operator Certificate (AOC). This allowed the airline to operate under the Air India Express branding.

Air India entered into a codeshare pact with AIX Connect in September 2023, covering more than 100 flights a day on 21 routes.
