Accor Group UK's Growing Hotel Network is a testament to the company's commitment to expanding its presence in the UK market. With a portfolio of over 1,000 hotels, Accor Group UK is one of the largest hotel chains in the country.

From its early days as a small hotel chain to its current status as a leading hospitality player, Accor Group UK has come a long way. The company's growth can be attributed to its strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

Accor Group UK's hotel network spans across various brands, including Ibis, Mercure, and Novotel. These brands cater to different segments of the market, offering a range of options for travelers.

Expansion

Accor added four hotels to its UK and Ireland portfolio in the Northern Europe region for the first half of 2020. These hotels include the first Fairmont in Ireland, one Tribe hotel, one Mercure, and an ibis Budget.

The Fairmont Hotel is the historic Carton House, situated just outside Dublin, with 170 rooms and reopening in Q4 as a Fairmont Managed hotel. Tribe Manchester Airport is also part of this expansion, a 412-room franchised new build hotel set to open in 2022.

Accor has a strong pipeline of new openings and a growing portfolio of hotels in the UK and Ireland. The company is particularly excited about Tribe Manchester Airport, which confirms the continued rise in popularity of midscale lifestyle brands.

Accor has also announced the opening of two new hotels in Leicester: Novotel Leicester and Adagio Leicester Aparthotel. The 10-storey Novotel Leicester features 154 guest rooms, while the six-storey Adagio Leicester Aparthotel offers 98 apartments with fully fitted kitchens.

Accor has spent €89m on acquiring 13 UK properties from investment group Tritax, representing 1,194 rooms in regional locations. This move marks a significant restructuring for Accor, with a focus on creating value through optimized return on capital employed.
