Traveling
League Information

ASA & USSSA
In accordance with ASA*USA Junior Olympic Softball, the traveling league uses the player’s age on December 31 of the previous playing year to determine which level they may play at. Check the chart below to see which age level you should be trying out for, according to your birth date. The age divisions are as follows: 10&Under: A player who is 8, 9 or 10 years of age as of December 31, 2005 is eligible (players born in 1997, 1996, 1995) 12&Under: A player who is 11 or 12 years of age as of December 31, 2005 is eligible (players born in 1994 and 1993) 14&Under: A player who is 13 or 14 years of age as of December 31, 2005 is eligible (players born in 1992 and 1991) 16&Under: A player who is 15 or 16 years of age as of December 31, 2005 is eligible (players born in 1990 and 1989) 18&Under: A player who is 17 or 18 years of age as of December 31, 2005 is eligible (players born in 1988 and 1987)
Anyone wanting to play on an older team must submit their request in writing and present their request at the October softball board meeting and be approved PRIOR to tryouts. Girls wanting to play up must complete tryouts for both age groups. You must finish in the top three on the final list of the older team to be eligible. Medical waivers must be approved by the Softball President prior to tryouts.
